Trump’s administration sues Maine for refusing to ban transgender athletes to participate in women’s sports.
This step is an escalation in a public battle between Governor and Donald Trump, which included the president’s threats in reducing the financing department of the Meng education department.
“The Ministry of Justice will not sit if women are discriminated against in sports,” US Prosecutor General Bondi said on Wednesday. “It is also about the personal safety of these young women.”

During the press conference, Bondi said the administration wanted to rid the titles from transgender athletes.
“We also consider the question of whether it is necessary to pull out all the financing they (education department) for what they had not fulfilled in the past,” Bondi said.
The lawsuit comes a few days after the Trump administration tried to disable all the Federal Maine Financing for public schools and the school lunch program.
It seems that this step was in response to public spots between the governor of the state and Trump during a meeting of US governors on February 21.
During the meeting, Trump threatened state -owned financing when Mills did not comply with the executive order that prohibits transgender women from women’s sports.
Mills replied, “We’ll see you in court.”
On Wednesday, she said that the federal government “acted illegally”.
“For almost two months, Maine has survived letters from the federal government, which are aimed at hungry schoolchildren, hard -working fishermen, elderly citizens, new parents and countless men,” MIL said.
“We were subjected to politically motivated investigations that opened and closed without discussion, without doubt that their results were predetermined.”
Mills said there are two transgender athletes in Men schools.

The lawsuit is the last in a number of actions taken by Trump to abandon the policies around transgenders created by the Biden administration.
