US Departments are more allegedly members of the gang in Salvador

The Trump administration deported 17 more members of the gang to Salvador, the US Department of State said on Monday, despite the legal battles about removing the supermax in Central America.

In his statement, US Secretary of State Mark Rubio said the departers included Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gang members.

Salvador’s representatives said the BBC that the group has a mixture of Venezuelans and salvadorans.

Earlier this month, the court ordered to stop the deportations conducted in accordance with the law on foreign enemies, the law of 1798, which was used only in wartime. It is unclear which law was used for deportation of 17 people.

In his statement, Rubio stated that the group included “murderers and rapists” but did not provide the names and details of the alleged crimes and some beliefs.

In a report on X, President of El Salvador Naib Bokele shared a sharply edited video, showing that men are loaded from the plane and into prison cells.

“All persons were confirmed by the killers and loud offenders, including six children’s rapists,” he wrote, again, not giving the names and details of the alleged crimes. “This operation is another step in the fight against terrorism and organized crime.”

Salvador agreed to pick up deported in exchange for $ 6 million (£ 4.62 million).

Members of the family of some of those who had previously been sent to the maximum security jail denied that they had gang ties.

After Trump appealed to the law on foreign enemies to remove more than 100 Venezuelans from the United States earlier this month, the group, including the US Civil Liberties and the Forward Democracy, provided a legal problem stating that the administration had illegally denied immigrants.

At the hearing on March 15, James Basberg, Chief Federal Judge in Washington, introduced a temporary restraint to use the law and pointed deportation flights in the air.

However, the deportation continued. The next hearing will be held on Thursday.
