US President Donald Trump says Iran “agreed to the United States’s nuclear transaction.
Trump described the latest conversations between the two countries that ended on Sunday as “very serious negotiations” for “long -term peace”.
Earlier, the Iranian Supreme leader told NBC News that Tehran was ready to make concessions on his nuclear program in exchange for lifting sanctions.
The United States has insisted that Iran should disrupt uranium enrichment to prevent the development of the country that develops nuclear weapons – although Iran insists that its nuclear activity is completely peaceful.
Speaking on Thursday in Qatar, at the second stop of his multi -day tour in the Persian Gulf, Trump said the deal was closed in Iran’s nuclear program and suggested he could avoid a military strike on Tehran’s places.
“We are not going to do any nuclear dust in Iran,” Trump said after meeting with business executives.
“I think we are approaching the transaction without doing it.
“You probably read the story of Iran today. This is kind of an agreement on the conditions.”
The president did not specify what remarks he meant, but the adviser to Iran’s High leader Ayatala Ali Khamenei, Ali Shamhani, said in an interview with US media that Tehran was ready to accept far -reaching curbs in his nuclear program.
Shamhani told ABC News that Iran would give up high -enriched uranium reserves as part of a transaction raising sanctions.
The latest talks on Tehran’s nuclear program ended on Sunday, both sides agreed to meet again.
The US Messenger Steve Witcoof said they were encouraging, and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Arahci called them “complex but useful.”
Trump pulled out of the previous nuclear agreement between Iran and five other world powers in 2018.
Previously, he warned of possible hostilities against Iran’s nuclear facilities if a fresh set of negotiations that began in April would not work.
A high US official said the last discussions lasted more than three hours, adding: “Agreement was reached with the negotiations on further work through technical elements.
“We are recommended for today’s result and look forward to our next meeting, which will take place in the near future.”
