Under the deck down below‘S. Marina Marcondes de Barros feeling incredibly frustrated with regard Lara RigbyLeadership – but where are they standing now?
During a unique interview with Weekly USMarina remembered to be kept in the clothing room every charter, saying, “I raised the concern that we were not rotating and that the situation was a little unfair. Laura did not take it very well.”
Marina felt like her “No longer had a voice”After not having a place to grow.
“I didn’t want to create any conflict so I made my peace with the fact that I was going to be housekeeping all the time,” she shared. “But get (Captain) Jason (Chambers). I needed to go back there and ask (for what I wanted). It felt like I wasn’t crazy. “
The stew felt grateful for Jason’s support, adding, “I deserved a chance to shine and I feel so wonderful to have it by my side. I was just hoping it had an impact on Laura.”
During season 3 of Under the deck down belowLara questioned Not just by marina about why She was kept while keeping a house. Stews usually have a chance to get back and forth between service and laundry for the experience but Lara argued that Marina was very good where she was.
“I’ve been working in sailing for four years now and I know how boats work. Saying it is how it’s going and it’s how it’s supposed to go – it’s not true,” said Marina Us. “If you say you’re rotating the girls, you’re supposed to rotate the girls. Otherwise, you are just hiring a housekeeping stew and you tell her, ‘You’re a housekeeping stew.’”
Marina specifically questioned how Lara the introduction of the work schedule to her. “The lack of communication, honesty and even empathy was not nice,” he said. “But I tackled that to her. She understood her and I just hoped it wouldn’t brush it as if it were nothing. Because I was literally doing two girl jobs while she and she Brianna (Duffield) shares one job, which was a service. So it wasn’t an easy task. I was almost burned out and I wish he could see my side instead of brushing it away if it was nothing. “
She continued: “She needs to understand that kindness and sacrifice are two different things. Although I’m there smiling, that’s a sacrifice I make to the team. I’m not being kind. I’m like, okay, I’ll keep a house again. I don’t have time to sleep, eat or talk to my family. So she (needed to appreciate it) because I’m tired. ”
The issues did not end there. Below the deck viewers Currently has a front row seat to tension between Lara and Tzarina Mace-Malph chefwho had everyone on the crew choosing sides.
“It’s very uncomfortable when the main stew and the cook fight because you don’t want to side. You’re there literally to do your job. You want them to be professional,” explains Marina. “If you have a personal problem, you are dealing with that after the journey is over – not in the middle of the service. It was quite awkward and I wish they would be a little more on top.”
Marina did not reveal which side he chose – But he offered suggestions.
“I can’t say someone is right or wrong. What I’m going to say is that someone is used to cameras and knows how to play a part,” he teased. “They know how to give a lot of information and let the river flow in a certain direction. That’s all I’m going to say.”
After all that drama, it is surprising to some of Us that Under the deck down below Just halfway over. Marina suggested that the disputes – and the hooks – are far from over after Captain Jason fired both Wihan du toit and Johnny Arvanitis on the screen.
“If you thought the start of the season was spicy, just grab a popcorn and sit down because you’re in a show in the second half,” he added. “The tension that was high in the beginning may explode.”
