President Floodimir Zelensky says Ukraine has suffered from the largest air attack from Russia – 728 drones and 13 cruise or ballistic missiles that hit cities across the country on several waves.
Zelensky condemned the “attack”, adding: “This happens at the time when so much effort has been done to achieve peace, set the ceasefire, and yet Russia continues to fall behind all.”
The blow came after President Donald Trump said the US would send more weapons to Kiev – the abolition of the suspension of the last week, which US media said that Trump did not know.
On Tuesday, the American leader expressed more and more disappointment with the “nonsense” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“He is very good for us all the time, but it turns out to be pointless,” Trump said.
Kremlin’s press secretary Dmitry Pesko said Moscow “quite calmly in this. Trump’s conversation is usually quite tough, the phrases he uses.”
Both leaders were in regular contact, but still failed to translate the fire in Ukraine – what Trump once said he would be able to reach the day.
Last week, after a phone call with the Russian president, Trump said he was “very unhappy.”
“He wants to go all the way, just keep killing people, it’s not good,” Trump said about Putin.
Criticism arose even when the Trump administration announced the suspension of military assistance in Ukraine, which is reportedly authorized by US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegset and Elbridge Kolby, insufficient policy defense.
Asked by the journalists on Tuesday, who made the decision, Trump was sitting next to Hegset – he replied: “I don’t know. Why don’t you tell me?”
According to Ukraine, the US can mean that 10 patriots missiles can be sent to Ukraine.
Kyiv relies on interceptors to try to resist missile missile and unmanned attacks that continue to rise by intensity and frequency.
Despite the fact that the east of the country and Kiev are regularly under the fire, no corner of Ukraine is deprived of Russian strikes.
The city of Lutsk – 90 km (56 miles) from the Polish border and is a transit center for military and humanitarian aid – suffered from a night attack on Tuesday.
Blasts in the western cities of Lviv and Rivne were also reported.
Earlier this year, two rounds of ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine took place, but no other meetings have been planned so far – and neither in Moscow nor Kiev are optimistic that diplomacy would resolve the conflict that was caused by a full -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Meanwhile, Russia’s summer offensive in eastern Ukraine suggests.
“We are moving forward,” Pesko said on Wednesday. “Every new day Ukrainians must accept new realities.”
