Tyra Banks’ Mother Parenting Method: Sex Ed Talk On A Train

Banks explained She could ask her mother anything when she was a child-including drugs and sex-from London, 76, wanted any taboo or questions beyond limits.

“I would ask my mum for drugs. She would be like, well, this one takes you up. This one takes you down to the side. This one takes you round and round,” said Banks.

The model added that she was 11 when she asked London for sex and her mother told her, “Well, this guy could say this way. This boy is going to say this way. He’s going to make you feel this way. He’s going to whisper in your ear and noting, here’s what she talks.”

London said that as well as answering bank questions about sex, she had taken her to a bookstore to buy resources that would teach her daughter about her body. Banks then intervened to share a story about being taught about sex while on a train.

“She put me on a train. It was a two -hour train from Los Angeles to San Diego, like a two -hour journey. And she gave me the bird and bee conversation,” shared Banks. “I knew (y) ‘where did I come from?’ Talk, but the conversation gave me about what a man whispers in your ear and how your body will feel and the things your body will experience.

“So, my small make -up session, the first make -up, the boy whispered a little something, something in my ear, and jumped off the couch, and I was like, ‘my mother said you would say that!’” Banks shared.

For her, London revealed the logic behind why it was so prominent for these subjects with banks as a child.

All she needs is her signature smite! Tyra Banks was started as a model, but perhaps better known as a television host of this day and age. The business woman took the world in a storm when America’s next top model started in May 2003. She not only served as a host and mentor (…)

“One of the things I did was to go to your children in a way you want to equip them to get out into the world. So no subject is taboo. If they ask you, they deserve the truth,” he said.

Later in the interview, London said her own experience of having teenagers also contributed to her decision to teach her children about their sexuality early. (Carolyn became a mother when the older brother of Tyra welcomed, Devin, 57, with a then partner Donald Banks when she was 19.)

“I was a teenager because of what I didn’t know,” said London. “It’s so important. So many parents say, ‘I don’t want them to know. I don’t want them to know.’ Then you send them out to the world ignorant, to take advantage of it.
