Tyler Young has joined the IPSWICH TOWN Under-21st part, creating the perspective of getting next to his father Ashley Young for the Championship Club.
Ashley, now 40, arrived in Portman Road in a free transfer this summer after leaving Everton, where he spent last season.
His career has split two decades and includes 39 England caps, beginnings in Watford, two stages separated with Aston Villa, nine years in Manchester United, a spell in Inter Milan and Time in Goodison Park.
Now in Ipswich, he could meet on the pitch with his son. Tyler had been in trial with the Boys tractor during the preseason before agreeing to an agreement in August to join the club’s development workforce.
The young man has been part of the Arsenal, MK Dons and QPR academies, and more recently played in Peterborough last season.
The couple almost faced the other competitive ones at the FA CUP, when Everton was drawn against Peterborough in the third round.
Ashley left Everton’s bench, but Tyler kept in substitutes, a decision that led to criticism for Poseh’s head, Darren Ferguson.
“If the party had been 2-0 at that time, I would have put it, but it is 1-0, I have to go ahead,” Ferguson explained after the game. “We are not a charity case, as much as Tyler wanted to continue with his father.
“One of his players (from Everton) had a little pop to me, which is out of order. I have to do what is best for our team and at this point 1-0 I am trying to get a result.”
Since joining Ipswich, Ashley has participated in the four championship accessories so far this season. In the meantime, Tyler was appointed on the bench for the first League League league of Ipswich with Derby in August and has also appeared to friends.
