Turned Kohli or Jasprit Bumrah? NEERAJ COPRA collects India’s best bet on javelin launch

Navjot Singh Sidhu recently asked Neerj Chopra to choose a player who could successfully succeed in Javelin Throw Sport during a special segment at Star Sports.

India’s golden boy has directly named Jasprit Bumrah, who could have a successful career in Javelin’s release. He also explained that fast bowls already have the strength, body coordination and technique that requires javelin launch.

So Chopra felt a bumrah was a great place to take the javelin shot if it weren’t a cricket. Neerj Chopra told Navjot Singh Sidhu to Star Sports: “I think it would be a secure fast diaper. So, I think a Jasprit Bumrah will fully adapt.”

Interestingly, the former Indian line -up and commentator Dineh Karthik has already shot the javelin under the attentive eyes of the Chopra Olympic champion.

During the 2024 episode of Jio Cinema’s ‘Get Set Gold’ program, NEERAJ challenged Karthik to launch the javelin at least 25 meters. Karthik did not do it well in his first attempt, but with a little guidance and determination, the old cricketer nailed the target in his second attempt.

Jasprit Bumrah’s strong workload exposes Indian backup weakness

In the meantime, Jasprit Bumrah has been India’s work horse and numbers say everything. Since the beginning of 2024, Bumrah has taken 78 doctors in only 15 test games, more than any other fast diaper in the world during this period. But most importantly, the Indian fast diaper has included a large 410.4, the highest for any pacer worldwide.
