Turkey’s first lady called on Melania Trump to stand for children suffering from Israel’s war.
Emin Erdogan praised the support of the US first lady for children affected by Russia’s full -scale invasion of Ukraine, asking Trump to “extend propaganda” to Palestinians.
In a letter published by the Turkish presidency on Saturday, Mrs. Erdogan said Gaza became a “children’s cemetery”, telling Mrs. Trump: “We must unite our votes and forces against this injustice.”
It comes as Food security experts that do not support food security – And 132,000 children are threatened with malnutrition.
“The phrase” unknown child “written on the cloaks of thousands of gas children opens irreparable wounds in our conscience,” Mrs. Erdogan wrote.
The letter calls on Mrs. Trump “to show the same sensitivity to the gas you showed the Ukrainian children who have lost their lives in the war.”
Mrs. Erdogan also urged Mrs. Trump to address the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly to “end in the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.”
The Turkish first lady usually does not involve himself in politics, most often choosing activity on environmental issues – which deserved her praise by UN Secretary -General Antonio Gutters.
But Mrs. Erdogan wrote letters to the partner of the world leaders in the past, in 2016 on behalf of the Syrians who became interested in the civil war and condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza in March.
The letter was published as a result of A A report on the humanitarian situation in gas.
In the report on the integrated classification of the food security phase (IPC) confirmed the famine in the city of Gaza and around it – warning that more than 640,000 people will face “catastrophic conditions” between mid -August and the end of September.
In the report on Friday, the IPC noted that a specific lack of food that took over the children – approximately one third in gas is acute.
It is also projected that by June 2026, malnutrition threatens the life of 132,000 children under the age of five.
The Ministry of Health Hamas said that 112 of the 273 people who died of malnutrition are children.
Israel denies that gas has hunger. He also accuses IPC experts of prejudice, changes in hunger and use Hamas data. IPC rejected this criticism.
The report comes when Israel is preparing for the launch of a new military offensive aimed at the soil system.
Israeli military personnel launched a campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas’s attack on Southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people.
At least 62 122 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health on health issues.
Most of the gas population has also been moved several times; It is estimated that more than 90% of the houses were damaged or destroyed; And health care systems, water, sanitation and hygiene have fallen apart.
