The Trump administration recalled the security of 37 current and former US officials, accusing them of politicizing intelligence for guerrilla or personal benefit.
In the memoirs located in the social media, the director of the national intelligence of Tuls Gabard ordered several national security agencies to immediately deprive the officials of their gap, saying that this step was ordered by President Donald Trump.
Officials include several national security officers who served as former presidents of Democracy Joe Biden and Barack Obama.
Gabard did not suggest any evidence confirming the accusations of the recording.
Security provides access to the government’s sensitive information, and some former officials keep them to advise successors. Some jobs in the private sector, such as protection and aerospace space, may require access to security as a preliminary employment condition.
It remains unclear whether all 37 people listed in the record were still active.
Gabard said Trump ordered to recall because the officials “abused public confidence, politicizing and manipulating intelligence, soaking the classified intelligence without permission, or by deliberate outrageous disturbance of trade standards.”
“The security check is a privilege, not the right,” Gabard wrote on X. “Those who in the intelligence community, who betray the Constitution and put their own interests over the interests of the American people, violated the sacred trust they promised.”
There were no specific fees on specific persons in the note.
This is not the first time Trump administration has recalled security checks for intelligence officials. Earlier, the administration recalled Biden’s purification, his vice president Kamala Harris and former legislators who participated in the investigation of the Capitol on January 6.
In recent weeks, Gabard has led the accusation of intelligence service under former President Barack Obama, who concluded that Russia had intervened in the 2016 election that Trump won.
Trump and Gabard described the evaluation of the intelligence community as a “treacherous conspiracy” to undermine the voter of the president.
The Democrats rejected these steps as political distraction and accused the White House of deviation of the unpopular policy and the alleged ties of Trump with a convicted sexual criminal Jeffrey Epstein.
“These bizarre accusations are a ridiculous and weak attempt to distract,” said Obama’s press last month.
