Tucker Wetmore Just released his first album, but music has always been a huge part of his life.
“Music, in general, is my therapy,” Wetmore, 25, was told only Weekly US When discussing his first album, What not.
As he got older, the singer-songwriter set aside a music to pursue a football career. But after an injury ended his Gridiron prospects at college, Wetmore turned back to music – and found his purpose. Now he prepares for a trip with Thomas Rhett and pinched himself for his success.
“I’m in New York at the moment. I was in London last week. It takes me all over the world, and this is ever the coolest thing,” he said Us. “I never thought it would get to where I am, and it seems to go in the right direction. I’m just wonderful, indeed.”
Before he went to Stagecoach, we asked Wetmore to make us a mixture of his favorite songs. Keep reading to see some of the tracks that have left a lasting impact on his life:

Weekly US“Higher” by Creed. I feel like every time we got to the truck to go anywhere, always either either country, radio or rock or metal or something like that. That song had just popped in my brain out of the number we listened to.
“Wannabe” by Spice Girls. It makes me feel good.
I try to think of my favorite place. Recently, it’s been my bed. Somewhere warm, so probably something reggae. Something by Every Marley. Let’s go “jamming” by Bob Marley.

Joseph Okpako/WirimageThe song that makes me want to get it all hot and heavy is “Let’s get it on” by Marvin Gaye.
I might get a lot of hatred for this, but I’m not a big Beatles fan, so we’ll probably change that. Nothing against them! Not my speed.
Miranda Lambert.
Theo Wargo/Getty Images“The house that built me” by Miranda Lambert. It also reminds me of my childhood. I feel my mother always plays that. In my opinion, I think it’s one of the best songs ever written. Not only the country, but across music, but it makes me sad. I would like to write that.
