President Donald Trump will meet with the editor -in -chief of Atlantic, who accidentally added to the chat signal group with administration officials who discuss air strikes against the Houthi group in Yemen.
On Thursday, Trump said on social media that he would meet with Jeffrey Goldberg and two colleagues by Mr. Goldberg, Ashley Parker and Michael Sherre.
“I do this interview with curiosity, and how competition with myself is to find out if the Atlantic is” true “,” Trump wrote.
Trump claimed that journalists “not quite pro-tramp-writers” and asked if they were able to “write an honest story about” Trump “?”
Trump said the interview would be for a story called “the most consistent president of the century”. When referring to the BBC, there were no comments in the Atlantic.
The interview takes place a month after Mr. Goldberg published a story about adding a secret group to the encrypted app signal for text messages. In the text network, US Secretary of Defense Piter Hegset and other major US officials discussed the details of the future attack on Hussites.
The scandal flared the White House. Then, in April, The New York Times and others reported that Hugset shared information about the same hostilities in the second chat of the private signal group that his wife, brother and personal lawyer were included.
Trump continued his defense minister and others involved in the incident, telling reporters earlier this week: “Pete is doing great work … all are satisfied with them.”
HEGSET’s wife, Jennifer Raushe, a former Fox News producer and does not hold an official position in the Pentagon.
His brother Phil and personal lawyer Tim Parlotore, both hold positions in the Ministry of Defense. But it is unclear why any of the three will require advanced warnings about the sensitive strike plans.
The White House has repeatedly collected scandals, saying that information on “classified” information with the Atlantic editor was disseminated in the first chat. This thread included information about the exact terms of aviation strikes as well as the weapon used before the attack.
