President Donald Trump said he “recommends that they impose 50% of the European Union’s goods tariffs in the United States.

“Our discussions are not going anywhere!” He said in a social media publication on Friday.

This announcement shows the escalation of Trump’s trade war with the EU, which currently has 10% tariffs all goods that are brought to America.

The president also threatened to impose 25% of the import tax on iPhones that are not produced in America.

“I have long informed Tim Cook with Apple that I expect their iPhone to be sold in the United States, will be manufactured and built in the US, not in India or elsewhere,” Trump said.

“If this is not the case, the tariff by at least 25% should be paid to the US Apple”

Since the re -entry into the White House, Trump has imposed and threatened with different tariffs in the world, which he sees as a way of raising US production and job protection from foreign competition.
