Trump suggests we can join the British Commonwealth

President Trump said on Friday he liked the US idea to join King Charles III will make an offer.

“I love King Charles,” Trump wrote on a social on Friday morning, citing the article, citing the Daily Mail report stating that the monarch secretly offers membership in the US Associate Member during Trump’s second visit to Britain. “I think good!”

Trump also changed the same report on the “secret” proposal on Saturday morning.

The British Commonwealth, established in 1926, consists of 56 countries, including Australia and Canada, most of which were initially British colonies. The monarch is the head of the Commonwealth, whose maintenance was the top priority of Queen Elizabeth II.

Membership is voluntary.

The United States was part of the British Empire before the victory of independence after the revolution.

India became the first country to decide to remain in the Commonwealth after independence in 1947.

Trump had a friendly relationship with the late queen and always spoke high.

“I met her very well and, you know, I met her in the 90s, well, but she was wonderful,” Trump said Fox News “Mark Levin In 2023. “This is a woman … 75 years old, and she was never mistaken.”

“This is discussed at the highest levels,” said the Royal Commonwealth Member of The Daily Mail. ‘It would be a great step that symbolize the UK’s close relationship with the US

“Donald Trump loves Britain and is very respected by the royal family, so we believe he will see the benefits of this. Associate friendship may hopefully accompany full membership, making the Commonwealth even more important as a global organization.”

At the end of last month, British Prime Minister Keira Starmer presented Trump with an invitation to Charles for a second state visit, while two politicians met in an oval office.

“I think it just symbolizes the strength of the relationship between us. This is a very special letter. I think the last visit to the state was a huge success,” Starmer said. “His Majesty King wants to do it even better.”

Trump replied: “The answer is yes. On behalf of our wonderful first lady Melania and I, the answer is yes and we look forward to being there and honoring the king and honor, your country. Your country is a fantastic country.”

Trump described Charles as “beautiful” and “wonderful man”.

“I recognized him very well, in fact, the first term and now, the second term,” he added.
