WASHINGTON is the president Donald Trump will decide World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, virtually Thursday, his first major appearance at an international event since he returned to the White House earlier this week.
Trump is expected to participate in a question-answer after speaking with Blackstone Chairman Steve Schwartzman, Bank of America Chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan, Bank Santander executive chairman Ana Botin and Patrick Puyane, chairman and CEO of the company TotalEnergies. They will be joined by WEF founder Klaus Schwab and CEO Børge Brende.
Trump’s appearance came days after he signed the executive orders withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization and Paris Climate Agreement.
He also demanded that the United States establish control over the panama canal and renewed his offer “buy” Greenlandautonomous territory of Denmark.
Since taking office, Trump has said yes including tariffs of 25%. on products from Mexico and Canada, and introduced 10% tariffs on imports from China.
