US President Donald Trump denied he was considering a third presidential term, and a step with which experts agree is prohibited in accordance with the US Constitution.
“I will be an eight-year-old president, I will be a two-year president. I always thought it was very important,” Trump said to meet the press from Kristen Wellker in an interview that came out on Sunday.
Earlier, Trump for 78 years stated that he “did not joke” about the desire to serve the third or even fourth term as the US president.
He later said that his statements were assigned to troll the “fake media”.
His company, Trump, sells Trump 2028 hats, telling about the assumptions about the chair that he may seek to remain after the second term in January 2029.
In an interview recorded from the Florida residence on Friday, Trump said he had many “requests” of people asking him to consider the desire to remain in office.
“So many people want me to do it,” Trump said, only a few days after the celebration of his first 100 days of his second term.
“This is what, in my opinion, you are not allowed to do. I do not know whether it is constitutionally that they do not allow you to do it or anything else,” Trump said.
He added that “there are many people who sell the 2028 hat.”
“But this is not what I want to do,” he said, listing the Republicans who could take their place, including Vice President J. D. Vens and Secretary of State Mark Rubio.
The 22nd Correction of the Constitution states that “no person will be elected to the president’s office more than twice.”
Changing the Constitution will require permission by two -thirds of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as the permit from three quarters of state -level governments.
However, some Trump supporters believe that the Constitution has a slit that was unchecked in court.
Asked if anyone approached with these theories, Trump deviated, answering that “as a big fan, many people said different things.”
During the interview, Trump also rejected criticism of the economy.
“Listen, yes. Everything is fine,” he said after his tariff plan went to international economies leading The US economy is first declining since 2022.
“I said this is a transition period. I think we’ll be fantastic,” he added.
Asked if the US economy can continue to shrink, he replied: “Everything can happen. But I think we will have the greatest economy in the history of our country.”
He later added that there is a chance that tariffs could be permanent by saying the interviewer: “If someone thought they were going to get out of the table, why would they build in the US?”
Trump also denied that the Americans would need to prepare to see fewer goods for sale in stores when the trade war continues.
“No, I’m not saying it. I just say they don’t need 30 dolls. They may have three,” he said.
“They don’t need to have 250 pencils. They may have five.”
Trump asked about the fifth amendment of the right to the proper process in accordance with the law that guarantees certain rights to people accused of committing a crime.
Critics said his deportation plan violated the process, and that his administration had removed people who had not yet been charged with any crimes and therefore were unable to submit legal protection.
“You don’t need to support the US Constitution as a president?” Welker asked, suggesting that he could ignore the presidential oath that requires him “to preserve, defend and defend the Constitution.”
Trump replied: “I don’t know. I have to answer, saying that I have brilliant attorneys who work for me, and they will obviously follow what the Supreme Court said.”
Last month, the Supreme Court ruled that the White House should work to “promote” the migrant’s return, which was accidentally deported to prison in Salvador. The Trump administration claims that they lack the powers to force Central America to return it to the United States.
Trump said he could not “turn off” using the military force in Greenland, but suggested that he did not consider a military attack on Canada to force the US Northern neighbor to become a 51st US state.
“I don’t see this with Canada,” said Trump, a few days later Canadian voters have elected Liberal Party leader Mark Karni their prime ministerin an extraordinary refusal of the Conservative Party.
“They think we will defend them, and we are actually there,” Trump continued.
“But true, they do not carry a complete fate, and this is unfair for the US and our taxpayers.”
Carney is expected to visit Trump in the White House on Tuesday.
Trump also asked about his decision about the state of emergency on his first day, and whether the limit is “safe”.
“We have the safest boundary that we had, if we have,” he said, forcing Velker to question why the Emergency Declaration remains in place after immigration figures showed that illegal intersections had fallen to the lowest level in the decades.
He claimed that the emergency is in the judicial system, not on the border.
“The big emergency is now that we have thousands we want to bring out and we have some judges who want everyone to go to court,” he said.
“This is a general emergency on immigration issues,” Trump NBC said, adding that he does not plan to accept the order in the near future.
