Trump says tariffs on Autos, pharmaceuticals coming to the “near future”

President Donald Trump On Monday, he said he would soon announce tariffs directed at cars, pharmaceuticals and other industries, signaling his plans to recruit broader responsibilities except the future ‘”mutual tariffs

“We quickly announce the machines,” Trump said at the Cabinet meeting. “We have already announced how you know, aluminum.”

“At some point, we will announce pharmaceuticals,” he said, “because we must have pharmaceuticals.”

“So, we will announce some of these things soon, not in the near future,” Trump said.

Trump added to the next White House event later on Monday added to his list of lumber and semiconductor industries, saying the tariffs for these two sectors will come “down”.

But even when he scored new sectors for potential tariffs, Trump said at the same event that he “could give many countries” at mutual tariffs, which should come into force on April 2.
