The Internal Security Department moved to the Harvard visa program after the university did not supply broad behavioral entries of the student visas.

The sought records include any footage of protesters with the participation of students, even if it is not criminal, and disciplinary records of all student visas over the last five years.

The requested records also include personnel or documentation of illegal, dangerous or tough activities for students, any records of threats either deprivation of other students or university staff.

Harvard called the new policy of the “detrimental” and accused the administration of the retreat from the “decades of resolved practice” and the arrival “without rational explanations”. The university also stated that the policy “was dramatically without any reliable procedures that the government created to prevent this type of upheaval for the life of thousands of students.”
