Trump returns a fitness test for state -owned presidential schools

President Donald Trump on Thursday resumed the test of presidential fitness in public schools.

It was first installed in the 1950s to determine the health and athleticism of young people, assessing the steps, push-ups, pull-ups and seat and departure test. It also presents a competitive component, recognizing the best presidential performers.

The test was stopped in 2012 and replaced the fitness program during Barack Obama’s term.
