Trump’s administration signed a proclamation on Wednesday, suspending the US for citizens from 12 countries: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
Referring to national security interests, the announcement states that the identified countries lack sufficient verification and verification processes needed to identify foreign citizens who can create security or terrorism in threats
The announcement is also partially limited entry for citizens from seven other countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Tag, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.
Other opinions include the information distribution policy in the country, the presence of terrorists, the Visa Overstay rates and whether the citizens who are sent back are accepted.
The ban should come into force on Monday at 12:01 et.
In A video Released by the White House on Wednesday night, Trump said he ordered the Secretary of State to carry out a security “high -risk regions” on his first day to make travel recommendations.
He also referred to Attack on Sunday on Jewish Protesters In Bowlders, Colorado, in the video. A man accused of attack, Mohammed Sabra Soliman is a national Egyptian. Egypt is not named in a new travel ban.
Politics reflects a similar ban on travel announced in January 2017, one week at Trump’s first term, banned from traveling from seven Muslim countries. This policy, although largely criticized, was ultimately supported by the Supreme Court in 2018.
Later, the ban ended with President Joe Biden in 2021.
Democratic legislators appealed to social media to express confrontation with the last ban. This includes Senator Adam Shiff, Caliph, and Senator Ed Mark, the state that posted on X: “Don’t be mistaken: the last ban on Trump’s journey will not make America more secure. We cannot continue to allow Trump administration to write fanatic and hatred of immigration policy in the US.”
The new policy extends to foreigners from these countries outside the United States and lacking visas to enter Monday, June 9.
Some travelers are excluded from the rules, it states that, including permanent residents of the United States, athletes traveling to attend major sports, and direct family members with “clear and convincing evidence of identity and family relationships”, citing DNA as an example.
