President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he had chosen the Federal Reserve Governor Michel Bowman to take the main role of the Central Bank’s supervision.
The announcement happens after Michael Barra has resigned with its role As Vice -Chairman of the Fed for Supervision, although he remains the governor of the Fed.
The elevation of Bowman gives Trump someone as a more friendly to the banking industry in the highest role in the Fed. Bowman, a former head of the bank and the state regulator in Kansas, first joined the Central Bank during Trump’s first term.
