Trump is used to get rid of criticism. Saga Epstein is another

Donald Trump called the story of Jeffrey Epstein a “dead problem”. But a week later, new discoveries of the blockbuster, Epstein crime – and its consequences – continue to chase many of their former associates.

The so -called birthday book given by Epstein in 2003, which was publicly released on Monday, gave new ammunition to critics Trump, and will retain his base and a closer public for more details.

It may not be a proclaimed gun – an indisputable connection with disorders that destroys a career or criminal investigation. But these are specific, disturbing evidence of a close relationship that was the deceased of the financier and condemned a sex criminal with rich and powerful.

Only it makes it an explosive and persuasive story – one that attracts public attention as a typical political history.

Don’t be mistaken, while Trump has no criminal violation, the political consequences of the Epstein Saga in the presidency are very real.

He is vulnerable in this matter. His attempts to reject or reject him could not.

And he sometimes attacked his own base for their history – the interest he had encouraged recently as last year.

While the 2003 book, compiled by the then girl Epstein and co -authored Gislain Maxwell, full of dozen personal notes, it is allegedly from Trump, which transformed it from a tragic story of sex and exploitation into one of the national guerrilla intrigues.

Political analysts have begun to think about whether it would be the last line of potential scandals and disputes that the president refuses.

However, Trump’s strategy had one obvious risk – that the note will become public. The note, presumably from Trump, is just a fragment in the greater mosaic of Epstein’s life – a picture of a man who had friends and associates in the highest places, including some of whom found humor in their reputation sexual feats.

In less than a week after the group of victims of Epstein and their families gathered on the steps of the Capitol to talk about the pain and emotional injury they suffered, and in the book’s birthday presented vivid evidence of seemingly unchanged Epshtein’s escapades in the Epshtein circle.

One entry that seems to be an investor in Florida’s real estate, includes a photo of Epstein, which conducts a large novelty check seemingly from Trump. The accompanying text jokes that Epstein sold “fully depreciated” a Trump woman for $ 22,500 – using a financial term for the goods that was reduced by use.

Other notes included lecherous images, nude photos and, in one case, images of sex that has sex.

There were messages from politicians, lawyers and business executives. Former President Bill Clinton referred to the “Children’s Eps” Epstein and his desire to “change the situation”.

Lord Peter Mandelson, the current UK ambassador to the US, included photos of tropical places and called Epstein “my best friend”.

Clinton’s cabinet did not respond to the BBC request for a comment, although he previously stated that he did not know about Epstein’s crimes.

The official press -secretary of Lord Mandelson said the BBC that “it was long realized that he was very sorry that if he met Epstein.”

Some Republicans have shown how the Democrats focused almost exclusively on Trump as evidence that their indignation requirements are due to the desire of political preference.

It can be difficult for those who deny.

For example, the Democrats in the House of Representatives Committee investigating the Epstein case quickly released a Trump birthday page provided by the Epstein estate.

Expect that any other details related to the president will receive a similarly quick route in a public view.

However, history has become greater than the president, and the interest in Epstein’s history – sex, crime and power – will bring attention to regard to the political motives behind the one who promotes it.

When Trump’s critics feel the opportunity, not all Trump allies help.

Last week, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, suggested that Trump cooperated with the initial federal investigation of Epstein, the theory himself, Epstein himself sailed during an interview with journalist Michael Walf in 2016 and 2017.

Two congressmen, Republican Thomas Massi from Kentucky and Democrat Ru Khan from California, are currently collecting signatures to force voting in the House to publicly release the other Epstein files – a step that the White House is vigorously opposed.

The Epstein’s saga, which seemed to be the old news earlier this year, is approaching an independent critical mass that will be difficult for anyone, no matter how well connected and influential.

And although the president is not the main attention, and there is no evidence of any criminal behavior on his part, his long -standing friendship with Epstein (which ended after the fall in 2004), combined with his position on top of US political power, will keep him a major player in this drama while she continues to unfold.
