Trump does not promise US troops in Ukraine, teasing Putin-Zelensk

President Donald Trump On Tuesday, he promised that there would be no US troops defending the border of Ukraine, even after he leaves the post.

“You have confidence,” he said “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday.

“I’m just trying to prevent people from killing,” he continued. “They lose 5,000 to 7000 people a week in the ridiculous war that was never supposed to happen. If we had a common president – not even a great president – if we had a normal president, it wouldn’t have happened.”

Trump said he intends to allow the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the President of the Ukrainian Bagher Zelensky to meet alone before focusing on a broader trilateral debate.

“They were definitely not the best friends,” he said.

“Perhaps they get along a little better than I thought. Otherwise I wouldn’t create two (of them) meeting, I would create (a trilateral meeting).”

The president also confirmed once again that Ukraine would not recognized in NATOBut he claimed that some European countries agreed to provide NATO similar to defense, including security guarantees.

Trump opposed the constant Ukrainian conflict with what he called his success in the brokerage world elsewhere.

“I decided seven wars, we ended seven wars. I thought it would be one of the simplest, and it turned out to be the most difficult.”

Trump’s comments came to the loud meeting with Zelenskyy and Monday.

Trump had previously met with Putin in Summit in Alaska And again he spoke to the Russian leader after meeting with Zelensky to start coordinating the next steps in the peace process aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
