Trump’s administration expands its anti-de-campaign to European companies.
Government officials have reportedly sent letters to the campaign in France and the European Union, which retain US government contracts, warning them to fulfill the executive order to ban diversity, justice and inclusion if they want to maintain their contracts.
According to the document, “the State Contractor Department must confirm that they do not manage programs that promote Dei, which violate any current anti -discrimination laws and agree that such certification is a significant purpose of the state decision on payment and thus obeying the law on false claims.”
The letters, distributed by the US Embassies in Paris and throughout the EU, also included a questionnaire in which the campaign ordered to confirm their implementation of the Federal Law on Discrimination. The existence of the letter was first registered Friday from the French business Daily Les Echos.
US diplomats in Eastern EU and Belgium also sent out a letter, Financial Times report.
Aviation and defense groups, consulting providers and infrastructure companies are among the French companies that are potentially subjected to the administration’s requirements.
This step comes approximately at the same time when the US Federal Communications Commission warned Walt Disney and its block abc that it will be Start investigating DEI’s efforts at the Media Giant.
The French Ministry of Finance has expressed concern over the approach of the US government, saying that its values did not reflect France. Development emphasizes increased tensions between the US and Europe, especially when the US threatens tariffs for European goods, including machines and wine, and disputes European politics, such as invasion of Ukraine.
