US Presidential Administration Donald Trump has published records about the murder of Martin Luther King, including FBI observation files on civil rights leader.
The order of the filed court kept the FBI documents, which made 230,000 pages blocked from public viewing since 1977.
Many King family members opposed the issue. In a statement by his two live children, he was condemned “any attempts to abuse these documents in ways aimed at undermining our Father’s heritage.”
King, Baptist Minister, was shot dead in Memphis on April 4, 1968, at the age of 39. James Count Ray, a career criminal, pleaded guilty to the murder, but later abandoned his guilt.
Two live children King -Younger, Martin III and Bernnis, who reported ahead of the release, said in a statement on Monday: “We ask those who are engaged in the release of these files to do so with the empathy, restraint and respect for the permanent grief of our family.
“The release of these files must be considered in their complete historical context.
“During the life of our Father, he was tirelessly aimed at the invasive, predatory and deeply disturbing campaign of misinformation and observation, organized by J. Edgar Guver through the Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI).”
The statement said the supervision government made a “invitation” and “intentional attacks on the truth”, which denied the King “dignity and freedom of private citizens”.
On the way, Trump promised the Americans to release the files for the killing of the king and former president John F Kennedy.
In January, he signed the executive order that the documents from both murders would be declassified, as well as records in the attempt on Robert F. Kennedy.
