Turki Alralikh says he was impressed with the “fantastic” performance of Sam Goodman (20-1, 8 kos) in a losing effort against the WBA feather weight champion, Nick Ball (23-0-1, 13 kos), on Saturday night in his main struggle for support for the Anb Arena de Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Sam Goodman put to Like Picasso Effort, throwing punch with perfect shape and adjustments that frustrated the ball. Interestingly, in the rounds of the championship, Goodman changed things, leaving the boxing he had been doing, choosing to fight with the ball in rounds 10 to 12.
Surprisingly, the Goodman, Australian, beat Nick in these rounds. Who would have expected it? Ball was supposed to be the best punch, but he beat him even in the area of his game.
The judges gave it to the ball for scores of 115-113, 118-110 and 117-111. I had it for Goodman with a score of 115-113. He obtained the best of the ball in seven of the rounds with his boxing and his capacity for slug.
The true winner in Riadh
Ball received victory, but Goodman had brought him to school and was the true winner. I was not the only one with Goodman’s technical skills. After the fight, Turki said he wanted to “see more” Goodman in the future events of the Riyadh season.
Goodman was selected from the 122 -pound division to defend the 126 LB belt against the ball and performed a masterclass performance. He marked Nick’s head all night, showing skills that the British 5’2 fighter “had never seen before during his career.
I thought Sam Goodman made fantastic in his fight with Nick Ball. Showed a lot of skill and the rounds were near. I would love to see more of him in the future Riyadh season and the magazine Ring.🥊🔥👍
