Trent Alexander-Arnold confirms that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season

Trent Alexander-Arnold has confirmed that he will leave Liverpool when his contract expires at the end of the season.

It is expected that the 26 -year -old will join Real Madrid after choosing to end his two decades spell with his hometown club.

Alexander-Arnold said, “I think first, I mean, it is not an easy decision and there is a lot of thought and feeling that it has come in. I have been here twenty years, I loved every minute, he achieved all my dreams, he achieved everything I wanted here.

“Giving it all day, for 20 years, I have reached a point where I feel that I need a new change, a new challenge for me as a player and as a person. And I think now is the right time to do it.”

One of the best bibs in the world

After joining the club at the age of six, Alexander-Arnold has made 352 appearances in Liverpool, scoring 23 goals and settled as one of the best bibs in world football.

It has helped the Reds to eight major trophies, including two Premier League titles and the 2019 Champions League.

His refusal to sign a new agreement has caused a reaction from the followers, but especially with Mohamed Salah and Captain Virgil Van Dijk to make a different decision and wrote new contracts in Anfield.

Trent message for fans

Asked to go to the followers on the club’s official channels, he said, “There are many things I mean. The main thing is a great thanks. Your boys have been from the outset with me, the boys have supported me, I have been there.

“I have heard the support, love, all you have done has never been unnoticed by me, I loved every minute. I hope they have heard that it was reciprocal and that I have given everything I could at the club.

“I just hope we can continue to win matches, the noise (around my decision) does not take away from what we have achieved this season.

“It has been an incredible season. It has been amazing to train -only I hope everyone is able to not spend too much time in this news and being able to celebrate what the rest of the boys have done.”

Alexander-Arnold Bernabeu tied

The next step of Alexander-Arnold will probably be at Santiago Bernabeu with Madrid known as admirers of a long time.

The right is also a position they have fought since since Dani Carvajal started a cross ligament before October, discarding it for the rest of this season.

Lucas Vazquez, who usually operates on the right wing, has been filled, as did the key midfielder Fede Valverde.

Alexander-Arnold also expands Madrid’s politics to sign the best players outside the contract on the continent after the acquisition of Kylian Mbappe last summer.
