Travis, 35, and his brother, Jason Kelcejoined by Kylie Kelce on the Tuesday, December 24, episode of “New Heights” to give their reviews of the holiday classic. Kylie, 32, referred to Love Actually as “one of my favorite films, period,” but Jason, 37, wasn’t entirely convinced.
“Jason, you might be the odd one out here. I really enjoyed it Love Actually,” Travis said, prompting Jason to explain that “it’s not an annoying movie to watch.”
According to Jason, the film, which is popular during the holiday season, lacks the “Christmas aspect”. “And then also, the general feeling and the general lessons and values that it exemplifies is absolutely horrible,” he continued. “But we will dive into that.”
Kylie once again emphasized that she was “really” loving the film, joking, “I can’t wait for (Jason) to sit here and s— on him for the next 10 minutes.”
And that’s exactly what he did. Jason even went as far as calling Love Actually “the worst Christmas movie I’ve ever seen,” and Travis agreed that some holiday spirit was missing from the story.

To Kylie, Love Actually excels in the way it tells several stories in one film. Jason and Travis proceeded to pick apart all of those storylines in a chaotic repetition of the plot, highlighting Liam Neeson a Thomas Brodie-Sangsterthe characters of Daniel and Sam as their favourite. (Kylie and Jason even revealed that their daughter Ellie, 3, started blushing when she saw Sam on screen.)
Although she’s a big fan of the film overall, Kylie admitted there was one part of the story that “didn’t sit right” with her: Mark (Andrew Lincoln) falls in love with his best friend’s wife, Juliet (Keira Knightley). Meanwhile, Travis gave the go-ahead to the famous cue card scene.
“That’s, like, the iconic way to do it,” he said. “That’s, like, the most romantic way to tell someone you’re in love with them, right?”
Travis agreed with his sister-in-law that “all these stories fit together,” but he wasn’t so sure that was a good thing. “It’s supposed to make it look like this is what’s going on in a community,” he continued. “Like, it’s all the different love stories (and) it’s what’s going on around you. And it’s scary ’cause there’s so much scandal in it.”

The trio went on to rank Love Actually in a handful of categories, from directing and acting to “the sum of Christmas.” Jason and Kylie scored the level of Christmas spirit much higher than Travis did.
“This had nothing to do with Christmas,” he teased. “You’re both just trying to be generous. That’s not one I’m going to be generous about.”
