Tottenham has confirmed the signing of midfielder Joao Palhinha in a loan during the season of Bayern Munich, with the option of making the agreement permanent next summer for £ 27 million.
The movement marks a return from the Premier League for the 30 -year -old, who left Fulham to Bayern only one year ago in a transfer worth up to up to 47.4 million £.
Palhinha still has three years in his Bayern contract, but Spurs sees the loan as a strategic way to strengthen his midfield, maintaining flexibility in his summer transfer budget.
Tottenham’s focus for the rest of the window will be to add attack options after James Maddison’s injury, as well as addressing a new complete setback and a creative number 10.
The agreement also continues the strong relationship between Tottenham and Bayern Munich, and the two clubs have recently agreed to transfers for Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Mathys Tel.
Palhinha made 25 appearances in all Bayern competitions last season, including 17 Bundesliga trips, who participate in the winning squad of the title of Vincent Kompany.
