Tony Harrison returns from a two -year dismissal against Edward Ulloa Diaz in a ten -round turn struggle this Saturday, July 26, at the Little Caesars Arena de Detroit, Michigan.
The WBC Junior Middleweight champion, “Super Bad”, Harrison (29-4-1, 21 kos) wants to restart his career at 160 and spend after a quick world title in this arid division.
Harrison-Diaz will fight in the Subcard of Claressa Shields vs. Lani Daniels. The event will be displayed live in Dazn from 18:00 ET.
Harrison, 34, last struggled on March 12, 2023, when Tim Tszyu was eliminated in the ninth round. He was competitive in this struggle, but Tszyu’s power was too much for him. It was not the exhausted Tszyu we have seen since last year. He still had a chin when he fought Harrison and he got up in his power.
The opponent of Harrison, the Super Weight Edward Ulloa Diaz (15-6, 12 kos), has lost three of his last five fights. He did not look good, losing to Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz, Jimmy ‘Kilrain’ Kelly and Roberto Garcia.

Harrison is about to turn 35 in September. You cannot afford your time if you want to give -the best opportunity to catch a belt. He must rediscover the form he had in 2018 when he beat Jermell Charlo.
“I pass myself to 160. I go to the middle weight. The division of 154, I said,” Harrison said. “This is even more open (160). I think it is the perfect calendar. I wanted to move forward. I have been to 154 for about 20 years. I think this is the perfect time to move forward.
“I think this is the perfect time to return to a division where nothing happens. No energy. No spark. There is no charisma. There is no character. It’s the perfect time to enter.
“Fighting? I didn’t take the weight. I didn’t want to do it,” Harrison said when he asked if he struggled to make 154.
