Todd Chrisley’s son asked to sleep in his room after a prison release

Todd Chrisley reflects on his family’s reunion after he and his wife Julie Chrisley were released from prison.

During the family Saturday, June 28, Interview on My opinion with Lara Trump, Todd, 56, said that Son Grayson, 19, asked to sleep in his parents’ room the first night they returned to Tennessee. (Todd and Julie, 52, had been behind bars in federal facilities in Florida and Kentucky for nearly two years, respectively.)

“He came in and said, ‘May I sleep with you tonight?’” Todd remembered. “I said, ‘You can.’”

Todd and Julie were released from federal prison in May after Receive Presidential Pardons over their proper fraud convictions. The Chrisley knows best A couple had conducted their innocence during a subsequent trial and appeal hearing in 2022.

In addition to Grayson, Todd and Julie are the parents of Chase, 29, Savannah, 27, and Chloe, 12, a biological daughter of Todd’s eldest son, Kyle, 33. (Todd shares two older children from a previous marriage.)

“The first night (Grayson) said, ‘I’m afraid to sleep because I feel like I’m going to wake up in the morning and they’re not going to be here,'” Savannah added to the Fox News host Lara Trump. “Grayson always said, ‘I have two mothers,’ because we are nine years apart. And so we’ve always been involved in the hip. It has taught me more than any person in the world could ever have the last two and a half years.”

Savannah, who Have held hold of Grayson and Chloe When her parents were imprisoned, she added, “She thought I had saved him when he actually saved me… going through this has been such a whirlwind.”

Grayson, for his part, is very grateful that his parents have returned home – and that they are not going nowhere.

“(The best part) is to be together only,” said the college student on Saturday. “That is, you take those times for granted when they are at home, and then when you realize one day it might be there and the next day it is not, you know, it means a little more.”

After Todd and Julie returned home, Grayson had something extra to celebrate on Father’s Day.

“Man, where do I start? Today is the first time in about 3 years we have really been able to celebrate today,” Grayson wrote through Instagram on June 15. “Happy Father’s Day to the man I look up to and the man (who) has always been there even in his toughest times. I don’t really know how you do that. Always love you.”
