Todd Chrisley Certainly he is a man who has changed after serving prison time for a crime he says mercilessly he did not.
“We read social media comments. We see the articles written,” Todd, 56, shared only with Weekly US before The Chrisleys: Back to reality Premieres on a lifetime on Monday, September 1. “People say, ‘Well, Todd doesn’t look like he’s ever gone to prison.’ Well, in another life, I would have been similar, to the children or to Julie, ‘very, great. So they wrote a positive article about how I looked.’ So I mean, that’s a good thing. ”
These days, Todd does not understand why some people are more obsessed with the way it looks rather than other more important issues.
“Now I’m like, ‘Why are we talking about how I look? Why don’t we talk about what I went through? All the people who are there still going through this today.'”
In January 2023, Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley. Reported to prison to serve a combined sentence 19 years after be found guilty on bank fraud and avoid paying tax. (Both sides have maintained their innocence.)
On May 27, Todd and Julie, 52, got a pardon by President Donald Trump and can return home to their family members, including Savannah. Chase. Craved and Chloe Chrisley.

Santiago Felipe/Getty images“I don’t think you can go through something like this and not change, and it would be almost sad if you didn’t change,” Julie explained Us. “There is definitely a time where you see things differently, where you respond differently, because you’ve been in a situation where you’ve had to respond differently. I think that’s part of the customization period back home.”
While both parents remained proud of all their children about how they have treated a few difficult years, Todd gave Savannah a special shout for Savannah, 28, for taking on the role of Guardian For Grayson, 19, and Chloe, 12, while her parents were in prison.
“She took the responsibility of her younger brother and younger sister. The funding ran for the family,” she explained. “She fought to have her mother and father home every day of her life.”
Savannah proved a tragic loss In September 2023 when Nic dwarf He died at the age of 29 following a motorcycle accident.

“She lost her fortunes to a motorcycle accident, and who did she mourn?” Todd asked. “Who was she to fall? I wasn’t there for her.… How can she be the same person?”
As Lifetime prepares to share a rare insight into Chrisley’s family life before and after release from prison, Todd is proud of how his children have persevered.
“I look at my children, and I know that Savannah has a servant’s heart,” said Todd. “When you raise a child, (when) you see that, you have to say, out of all the things I could have dropped on the ball, I didn’t drop the ball with that.”
