Anne’s princess – a sole girl Queen Elizabeth II and The Prince Philip – married Sir Timothy Laurence in December 1992.
When the pair first met in 1986, Anne was still married to her first husband, Mark Phillips, who married him in 1973. (She and Phillips welcomed a son Peter In 1977 and a girl Zara tindall in 1981.)
Anne and Mark announced their intention to separate before she filed for a divorce in April 1992. Less than a year later, Anne married Timothy at a small ceremony at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral Castle in Scotland in December 1992.
Timothy, retired Royal Navy Officer, received no Royal Title following the Nuptials. However, he was made a personal-de-robe assistant to the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2008. After Elizabeth died at the age of 96 In September 2022, Anne’s husband attended several events honoring the late British monarchy. He has continued to stand by his wife in the years that followed.
