Tim Tszyu says there were “Many reasons” For him losing to Bakhram Murtazaliev. He says this was not “the best version” of himself when he was killed in the third round by the IBF Junior Middleweight Murtazaliev champion last October. He says he suffered a commotion in the second round after being run over. However, he does not say what were the other reasons.
Tszyu (25-2, 18 kos) will have to be 100% on Saturday night when he challenges Sebastian Fundora (22-1-1, 14 kos) in a resale for his £ 154 title on July 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena de las Vegas. She lost to Fundora for a 12 -round division decision last year. Tszyu has an excuse for this loss, blaming it in a cut.
Fundora does not think too much about Tszyu’s habit to use excuses. He says his fists were the reason he won this fight. It had nothing to do with Tim cut forehead.
“With the loss of Bakhram, There were many reasons why. The thing happens. This is the best version of myself, “said Tim Tszyu to Fox Sports AustraliaSuggesting a problem that caused his loss to Bakrham Murtazaliev last October.
It would have been good if Tszyu had revealed what the “reasons” were for his loss of the third round against Muratazaliev. Because he floats the idea that there is an explanation for him, he only seems to be an excuse manufacturer. First, he used his cut against Sebastian Fundora as an excuse for loss. Now, he has a new excuse why he lost to Muratazalev. It’s a little pathetic when you look at it.
“I was trapped early and I was excited. I had a commotion from the second round as soon as I was hit with this shot,” Tszyu said for being abandoned by the IBF Murtazaliev champion soon. “I remember to have struck with something I never felt before. It was not about being able to return and to be able to dig.”
Tszyu struck with a large left hook of Murtazaliev in the second round. He fought recklessly as he had done in his previous struggle against Fundora, and Murtazaliev was the wrong guy to do it. The Russian fighter struggled with his left hand because he had injured his right in the training camp. So he was dominating Tszyu using his left. This causes the Murtazaliev explosion to gain even more impressive.
“If I could move on, fighting for a commotion like this, who knows what would have happened? I am happy that he has not gone to the latter because health is number 1. I would never leave. I think it was a good lesson learned,” said Tszyu.
Who tries Tim? He was not going out of the third round, even if his corner had not launched on the towel to save him. Murtazaliev had already left Tszyu once in the third and three times in the second round. There was literally any possibility that it would go to the rear rounds.
