Ovard Aspyn and her ex-husband, Parker Ferrisgoes honest about her sexuality.
“Did you feel like you knew when we were married that I would like girls?” Ovard, 28, asked Ferris, 29, on Wednesday, December 18, TikTok video, read a fan question out loud.
Ferris, for his part, noted that Ovard’s revelation was not a complete surprise.
“I think there are definite signs,” Ferris replied.
After Ovard separated from Ferrishe confirmed via TikTok that he would be open to dating a woman.
“So many people struggle with their sexuality for, like, a lot of different reasons,” she said in a video earlier this month. “I’ve always been told that I can love whoever I want and be whoever I want, and so I’ve always known that. At this point in my life, I’m not confused about my sexuality.”
Ovard added, “I’m more confused about straight people because I’m, like, ‘How come you don’t want to hook up with girls?’ Like, I don’t understand that.”
Recently, Ovard started dating again after her divorce.
News broke in April that Ovard filed to dissolve her marriage to Ferris after nine years on the same day they announced the birth of their third daughter. (Ovard and Ferris also share daughters Cove, 4, and Lola, 2.)
“Just like, it’s the next episode,” he said on the September episode of “Pretty Basic” a podcast. “My mother is divorced and remarried, my grandparents are all divorced and remarried – all of them. Seeing them all now, I’m like, ‘You’re all much happier. I can’t imagine if you were still married.’ Life goes on.”
Ovard further acknowledged that divorce is still “such a devastating thing” when children are involved.
“It’s a lot to go through,” he added. “I say, ‘Whatever works for my family is what I do. I couldn’t care less what anyone else would think about that.”
According to Ovard, she will “never share” what led to her decision to file for divorce.
Ovard has since scaled back her previous decision to share her daughters’ details via social media, starting with baby No. 3’s name.
“I haven’t really made up my mind, (but) I’ve definitely been leaning towards not sharing it,” she said in a vlog in April. “I’ve been waiting to see what nicknames she comes up with and then I’ll share something like that. She’s got a couple of nicknames so far, but nothing that I feel is going to fully stick and that I’d want to refer to as when I’m talking about her.”
Ovard continued, “If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t have shared Cove and Lola’s real names. I would have just shared nicknames for them, I wish I had, so with this baby, I’m like, ‘Do I want to share her name?’ I think eventually I’ll have something I refer to as (in my social posts).”
