Yousaf, who had over a million followers on the popular platform, was killed in Pakistan’s capital on Monday, June 2.
Police said she had been shot dead by a man who had tried to contact her repeatedly through social media, reported CBS News on Tuesday, June 3.
“It was a case of repeated rejections. The boy was trying to reach out to her repeatedly,” Head of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi He said during Tuesday’s news conference, by CBS news. “He was a horrific murder and cold blood.”
A 22 -year -old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, local police said.
Yousaf posted lipstick videos, beauty tutorials and reviews on Tiktok regularly, accumulating 1.1 million followers and 38.4 million people like.
The last Tiktok County appeared to be celebrating her 17th birthday. Yousaf can be seen breaking into a birthday cake in a video posted earlier this week.
Yousaf’s death follows a torrent of annoying murders of social media influencers.
