Tia Mowry reflects on navigating co-parenting during the holidays after her divorce from an ex-husband Cory Hardrect.
“Happy Holidays from my family to yours! 🎄✨. Co-parenting during the holidays is a journey – one filled with mixed emotions,” Mowry, 46, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, December 24. “It’s different, and yes, it can feel challenging and even lonely at times, especially when you’re adjusting to a new family dynamic.”
Mowry noted that she “found the beauty in it” as time went by. “It is an opportunity for my children to build a meaningful relationship with both parents, and for me, it creates a space for self-discovery, healing and regeneration,” she wrote.
Alongside the message, Mowry shared red plaid pajamas with her son Cree, 13, and daughter Cairo, 6, who she shares with Hardrict, 45. The carousel of snaps included individual images of the two children and Mowry standing next to the Christmas tree.
“I’ll admit, as a single mother, I feel the pressure sometimes because our family doesn’t look like others. But you know what? That’s right,” she wrote. “Different doesn’t mean less than. The most important thing is to keep the traditions alive for my children — because no matter what it looks like, we’re still family. 💛 .”
Mowry ended her caption with a message for “anyone navigating co-parenting or a new chapter this holiday season,” adding, “Know you’re not alone.”
“There is joy to be found, even in the transitions,” he wrote. “Let’s keep creating those special moments for our children, no matter what. ❤️.”
Mowry tie the knot with Hardrict in 2008 after eight years together. He shared in October 2022 that the pair had decided to do so call it quits. The exes finalized their divorce in April 2023.

“I’ve always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and I want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we begin this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Following their split, Mowry has been honest about how she and Hardic navigate co-parenting.
“I talk to (Cory) every day. We tell each other (that) we love each other every day,” she said exclusively Us Weekly in November 2022. “He is family and will always be family and part of our lives forever.”
