Tia Carrere’s son, Jude, comes out as transgender: ‘he is very happy’

Tia carrere revealed that her son, Jude19, has come out as transgender.

“It’s a matter of fact. He knows who he is, and he is very happy,” said Carrere, 58, People Recently.

The Wayne’s world Actress, who shares Jude with her ex-husband, photojournalist Simon WakelinShe continued to express how proud she is of her son.

“It’s such a love, it’s like the therapist for all the other children. When his friends go out drinking or part too hard, he is always the designated driver, that kind of caring friend you can always press on,” Carrere added.

“I did a good job with that. But I don’t want to congratulate myself too much! He is his own person,” he continued.
