England continued its perfect start to the 2026 World Cup classification campaign under Thomas Tuchel with a 3-0 victory over Latvia at Wembley Stadium.
Reece James’ goals, Harry Kane and Eberechi Eze said that the three lions won two two -wins from the K.
The hosts controlled from the outset, although it took 38 minutes to break down a resistant Latvian defense.
England’s first dominance almost had nothing when Vladislavs Gutkovskis missed a golden opportunity to put the visitors ahead, ceasing to capitalize on a combination between Jordan Pickford and Marc Guehi.

The second half followed a similar pattern, and England dictated the game and Latvia struggled to get out of its defensive form.

The second goal of England finally came in the 68th minute, courtesy of a well -worked movement involved in Rice and Harry Kane. Rice, who has now provided attendance in consecutive parties in England, increased the right flank before drilling a low cross in the six -gardens box, where Kane was in hand to score his 71st international goal.
Tuchel made several substitutions to inject fresh energy into the game and paid off in the 76th minute. Phil Foden from Manchester City, introduced to Jude Bellingham, performed a simple step to Eberechi Eze, who dazzled the crowd of Wembley with a brilliant solo race.

Meanwhile, Latvia will try to regroup -ahead of his confrontation with Azerbaijan the same day. For Tuchel and his team, this was another step in the right direction, as they continue their trip to the World Cup in 2026.
