Thomas Frank leaving the “great piece of my heart” to Brentford after Tottenham Move

Thomas Frank has shared a heart message to Brentford’s fans after his move to Tottenham.

Frank has officially separated with bees after almost a decade of service, replacing Ange Postecoglou, who was fired last week after a poor Premier League campaign despite giving Spurs its first trophy in 17 years.

Frank’s departure marks the end of an era for Brentford, where he initially joined as an assistant before taking over in 2018.

During his term, he directed the club to one of the most successful periods of his history, including the promotion to the first flight.

In his farewell statement, Frank said, “It’s time to move on. But even when I leave, I know I left a large piece of my heart in Brentford, not only in the football club, but with the community and, of course, the incredible and faithful supporters.

“I want to expand my deep gratitude to the club for having given me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and for all the involved who made the trip so memorable.

“For my family and I, it has been a privilege that will be allowed to be part of such a special community: it is an experience and adventure that we will appreciate for life. So thank you.

“Everything we have achieved, we have achieved together and our success is based on unity, spirit, courage and ambition at all levels of the club and among fans.”

“Everyone has contributed it, and all the contributions have been inexpensive. Not only do I leave a football club, my name is good for friends that the support of good and bad will always take me with me.

“So, despite the fact that this is a goodbye, I hope the relationships I built with everyone will be lasting and, of course, we will meet again in the wonderful world of football.”

Brentford’s director of Football, Phil Giles, also paid tribute to Frank’s legacy, remembering some of the club’s leading successes under his leadership.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Thomas,” Giles said.

“There have been so many special moments with Thomas and no one will never forget the day in Wembley for the Play-off final or that emotional first party of the Premier League against Arsenal.

“We will never forget Thomas, but now it is time to thank -and take the following steps in our journey with a new leader that we think can have the same and influential success.”

Frank leaves Brentford with an impressive record, achieving 132 wins during his time in charge, ranking it as the third most successful manager in the history of the club.
