According to French media, the world’s oldest restaurant with Michelin, Georges Blan, lost the third star.
Georges Blanne, an 82-year-old French chef who oversee the restaurant in the southeast of France, told AFP that they “did not expect it”.
“We’ll do with two stars … Perhaps we will be less elitist and a little more affordable.”
The restaurant based in the city of Vonnas outside the French city of Lyon, earned his first star back in 1929 under his grandmother Georges, Eliza Blan, and has since spent at least one star from the cherished restaurant management.
Georges took over the restaurant in 1964, along with his mother, the flight before taking full control over four years at the age of 25.
He won the third Michelin star for the institution in 1981, and still has been holding all three since.
This means that the eight -year -old -Shaf -Kuhar – who won many national awards, including France, lived more with Michelin’s three stars than without.
Gweendal Poullenec, Michelin Director, said AFP that they are trying to “reflect the evolution of restaurant quality in our ranking.”
But he also gained Mr. Blanne praise. “It is true under his leadership that once a family hotel survived a new boom to become this village for gourmet, which is today a real gastronomic direction,” he said.
He added that he “continues to follow this restaurant with the same kindness, the same rigor” in the coming years.
Along with its institution of the same name, Mr. Blanc has several other restaurants, hotels and food stores, as well as the tavern.
Michelin, a French tire manufacturer, has made a restaurant since 1900, introduced in 1926 by Star System.
Initially, they wrote one means to encourage the car driving and therefore demand for car tires.
At the end of this month, Michelin will hold his annual award ceremony.
