The Italian website, which posted doctoral images of famous women, including Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, with obscene comments, announced the closure after other women-politicians.
The obvious site called FicThe performance on the Italian slang for Vagina now reflects a message stating that it has closed “with great regret” with the “toxic behavior” of some users.
Meloni herself said that she was “disgusting” the site and urged those responsible to punish “with maximum firmness.”
Removal of fic occurs a few days after My wife (My wife), where thousands of men changed the intimate images of their partners, apparently without their knowledge.
These pictures were posted with obvious or even harsh comments, and users said they include former politicians, businessmen and police officers.
Since then, Meta has closed the group for “violation of adult sexual exploitation.”
Fika was a much greater operation, apparently, there were about 700,000 users, and he has been active for two decades, despite previous complaints.
Its so-called VIP section contained photos of women-Italian politicians and other well-known figures: from the actress to influential, which were made either from public speeches or from personal accounts in social media.
Images, including beach shots in the swimwear, were changed digital before being placed in albums with titles such as “hot politicians” with other sugestic and sexist signatures, which caused vulgar comments.
Alessandra Maretti, a deputy who opposed the site, says she also included rape.
She now calls for a collective fight against such platforms and new laws to punish responsible.
“The complaints are only valid when the well-known and influential figures are submitted,” the European Parliament wrote on the Instagram of the opposition Democratic Party. “Ordinary women without tools remain at rest and defenseless.”
Fica’s statement, which announced the closure, accused users who, he said, perverted the “spirit and original purpose” platform, saying that it was intended for those who wanted to “share their content in a safe setting”.
But he accepted that the platform became something, that people “wanted to distance, did not be proud” and promised that the whole content would be removed.
The statement was illustrated with emodi-like images of tears and ended with the words “before the meeting quickly”.
The Italian Postal Police, which is engaged in cyber, confirmed the BBC that the investigation was launched.
Fika stated that she always blocked and reported all kinds of violence and images of minors.
But the motion to close it on Change.org, which collected almost 170,000 signatures, stated that it included photos of people taken secretly in the dressing and beauty salons “or shot by hidden microcamers in public bathrooms.”
Previous complaints on My wife The group also went unattended.
This changed last week when writer Carolina Kapia announced a group in the mail that became viral. Women who recognized themselves in the pictures began to talk.
Police notes that they have been flooded with reports on these and other platforms since then.
“It is restless to note that in 2025, there are still those who consider it normal and legal to bite the woman’s dignity and aim at her sexist and vulgar insults, hiding behind anonymity or keyboard,” said the Corriere della Sera Sera.
She also urged women to report any images that were shared without their consent.
