Shakur Stevenson has inclined on social media today about his number 1 place in the Ring 10 in Lightweight, and dared to “come and get this struggle for me.”

Speaking about his ascent to number 1 in the last three months, Stevenson (24-0, 11 kos) says he “shot the door down and took my 1st place.” The victory that catapulted Shakur at # 1 was his 12 -round unanimous decision on William Zepeda on July 12, 2025.

Ranking in a weak opposition

I don’t think these wins are good enough for Shakur to qualify in the ranking of Ring Magazine in Lightweight. Holes can be shot through the five fighters, as they are all defective in their own way.
First, Padley was a Part -time boxer with work as an electrician. It was introduced as a substitute after Shakur’s originally programmed opponent Floyd Schofield abandoned the fight with food poisoning for the February 22 event, 2025.
Shuichiro Yoshino had never defeated any remarkable opposition at the time Shakur fought him on April 8, 2023. Yoshino has been eliminated by the Siro Choi perspective in the eighth April round.
Artem Harutyunyan had been inactive for 1 year and came out of a 12 -round unanimous loss of decision in Frank Martin at the time Stevenson fought him on July 6, 2024. Harutyunyan has not fought since he lost in Shakur for a 12 -round decision. You can argue that this is another part -time boxer that Stevenson had beaten to the light.
One of the best Shakur fighters has faced 135, William Zepeda, was not a great punch and less threatening.
