The game was moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona due to fires. However, the fans turned out in full force and got a big win from the boys in blue and gold.

It really started on defense. The Rams sacked Darnold six times in the first half and three more in the second half, for a total of nine. Jared Vers also recovered Darnold’s fumble and returned it 57 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford didn’t have to do too much. He was 19 of 27 for 209 yards and two touchdowns. Kyren Williams scored one touchdown, Davis Allen scored the other.

The Super Bowl champion quarterback completed passes to eight different receivers.

The defense has returned Darnold to the player he looked like earlier in his career. He was late getting passes and looked hesitant for most of the game.

Despite a great season, he finished the playoff game 25-for-40 with 245 passing yards, a touchdown and one interception. His lone score came from Ty Jay Hockenson, who led the team with five catches for 64 yards.

Vikings star Justin Jefferson caught five times for 58 yards.

Los Angeles is back in the division for the fourth time under head coach Sean McVay. The Rams will now hit the road vs Philadelphia Eagles. The two teams will meet on Sunday at 15:00 EST.

The Vikings can start their offseason and figure out what they’re going to end up doing with Darnold. The veteran quarterback was brought in on an emergency basis in the offseason after JJ McCarthy suffered a torn Achilles in training camp.

Minnesota will now have to decide whether to hand over the keys to McCarthy’s Cadillac or keep Darnold for at least one more season.
