The resurrection of the Christ Part 1will appear for the first time March 26, 2027, which is also Good Friday. Forty days later, The resurrection of the Christ Part 2 will be released on May 6, 2027, namely Ascension Day.

“There is a lot required because (the script is) an acid journey,” Gibson said. “I’ve never read anything like it. There are some crazy things. To tell the story properly, you have to start with the fall of angels. You’re in another kingdom. You need to go hell. You need to go to Sheol.”
