The Palestinian teenager was released after nine years in the Israeli prison

Amnesty International and Israeli Non -Governmental Organization, Adal, accused Israeli authorities for violating international law in the monastery case.

They point to his interrogation at the age of 13 – without a guard or lawyer.

“Monasra’s rights have been systematically deprived of his imprisonment. He was only allowed to see his immediate family through a glass wall without physical contacts,” Adal said in a statement.

“He was completely denied the right to education and deprived of other fundamental rights. His right to dignity was violated, including two years spent in a solitary confinement, and his right to health was ignored by the permanent medical neglect of the Israeli prison service.”

Prisons service claims that all detainees are conducted in accordance with international law and that any charges of abuse are being investigated.
