WBC Interim Feather Champion Bruce Carrington says that Canelo Alvarez’s fist power could be the “red flag” for Terence Crawford because he had problems with the shots of his last opponent, Israil Madrimov.
Carrington notes that if Crawford (41-0, 31 kos) had problems with the Madrimov power of the ex-Midrimov Ex-Champion of the former Madrimov of the WBA champion, it became even harder on the surface of the champion of Super Middleweight Canelo (63-2-2, 39 kos) on September 13 in the stadium allegant.
“The obvious red flag we have to look for is Canelo’s power. When I was watching Bud and Madrimov, in a post -struggle interview, I hoped to say that the style of Madrimov is what made the struggle a challenge. But he said it was power. He did not say that it was the style,” said WBC First weighing Bruce in Bruceon. Sean Zittel On Terence Crawford’s latest struggle against WBA Junior Middleweight, Israil Madrimov.
Madrimov’s movement and constants also seemed to give Crawford problems because he seemed to never know when he would launch. When Madrimov threw him, he repeatedly took him.
Carrington did not mention that in the year of the dismissal Crawford had entered the struggle of Madrimov, his age or his pass from 147 to 154. To follow out of the ring for a year after Crawford’s victory over Errol Spence on July 29, 2023, he was not the wisest to do. Now, Terence has done it again, keeping it for a year.
The advantage of Terence’s style
“If power is the problem, Canelo has a lot. He has a lot, and that’s a great problem,” said Carrington. “I feel that Canelo is tailor-made for a boy like Crawford in style terms. The way Crawford is able to adjust to the style of anyone, and it is a switching stroke. There are also boxes and has long arms.”
Israil Madrimov’s punch marked Crawford’s face up and did not charge his shots. Was in his hand to hit it with fast shots. If Madrimov had been more busy in the second half of the fight, he would have won because he was not busy enough in the last six rounds.
Being a switch is not enough for Crawford to win, because Canelo does well against SouthPaws. Thus, if Terence chooses to fight the left position on September 13, it will not be the advantage that he or his fans believe he will do so. Canelo has too much experience to be launched by Crawford that moves right to left all night. The change of positions could hurt Crawford.
“It is taller than Canelo and has the advantage of size. It is not wider in terms of the muscle. It has what is needed to disturb the boxing world and be the winner in this struggle. I really think that Bud will be the one that comes out with his raised hand,” said Carrington.
Crawford’s reach is similar to the previous Canelo opponents, including William Scull, Edgar Berlanga and Jermell Charlo. The scope of Terence is 74 years, and his age was 73 years. Canelo was still able to land his shots despite having to give 2 1/2 inches of reach. The scope of Alvarez is 70 1/2 “.
