The New Zealand T20i series for the Pakistan series announced, Mitchell Santner replaced as captain

New Zealand’s National Cricket team has announced its exhausted T20I squad for the next five -game series against the Pakistan National Clicet team.

Kiwi’s captain, Mitchell Santner, will not participate in T20i’s matches against men in green. Therefore, a new captain has been appointed by the series.

Michael Bracewell replaces Mitchell Santner as Captain temporarily for Pakistan T20is

Bracewell, one of the stars of the success of the ICC Champions Troophy 2025 campaign in New Zealand, has been named pattern of the Pakistan T20i series.

He had previously directed a New Zealand team in a series of outside Pakistan, and his next stage will be the first time he will direct the black caps at home. Apart from Bracewell, six more players from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will participate in the games against Pakistan.

The main names that the parties will lose due to the commitments of the Indian Premier League (IPL) are Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra and Bevon Jacobs.

Meanwhile, New Zealand will receive a boost with the return of Tim Seifert, Finn Allen, James Neesham, Ish Sodhi and Ben Sears. The High Packers Kyle Jamieson and William O’Rourke will continue to be part of the squad, but will only play the first three games of the T20i series of five games on March 16, 18 and 21.

Speaking of leadership, Michael Bracewell stated that he is quite honest and privileged. He made:

“It’s a great honor and a real privilege to capture your country. I really enjoyed leading the side of Pakistan last year and we have many players from this squad included for this series, which is nice.

“Mitch Santner has done a great job since she took over as white ball captain and I will only try to take advantage of her good work and create a pleasant environment so that boys can act.”

Michael Bracewell tagged Pakistan as a dangerous unit and expressed his excitement to play against them in front of the crowd.

“Pakistan is always a dangerous side with a lot of power and rhythm and we know they will hurt after an early exit to the Champions League trophy,” he said.

“For boys returning from Dubai, there is obviously a level of disappointment, but also very proud of the way we were able to act and represent New Zealand. We loved all the support we received from afar and, without a doubt, we look forward to returning home and playing in front of our own fans and in front of complete premises.”
