A gunman who killed four people in New York City wrote a note before killing – He stated that he suffered a brain disease related to contact sports and was trying to guide in the Offices of the National Football League in ManhattanOfficials said today.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams told journalists that researchers believe that Casino de las Vegas worker, Shane Tamura, was trying to enter the Manhattan NFL offices after firing several people on Monday in the building’s lobby, but took the wrong lift bank.

In a three -page written note on the shooter’s portfolio, Tamura, who played high school football in California, said he suffered chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). He also wrote that the National Football League covered the dangers of the sport with the players’ brain.

According to the New York City Police Department, Tamura wrote several times in the note he felt. He also requested that his brain be studied after his death by CTE signs while referring to the ex -NFL offensive linean, Terry Long, who was diagnosed with CTE before committing suicide in 2005.

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said that Tamura drove around New York City just before the shooting. Surveillance videos showed that Tamura came out of a BMW in the early hours of Monday evening and strolling through the 345 Park Avenue square while he had a rifle before entering the building.

Once inside, Tamura opened in the lobby, killing the police officer out of Didarul Islam and struck another woman who tried to cover himself. He then headed for the elevator bench, shooting a guard and another man along the way.

“It seemed that he first passed in front of the officer, and then turned to his right and saw him and unloaded several rounds,” said Eric Adams in an interview.

Tamura brought the elevator to the offices of the 33rd floor of Rudin Management, the company that owns the building, where he shot and killed a person before taking his own life.

In a statement, the NFL curator, Roger Goodell, called the “indisputable act of violence”. He also expressed his thanks for the agents of the law who responded to the shooting. Goodell added that the league will increase security in the office building and around.

“Each of you is a valued member of the NFL family,” Goodell wrote. “We will have it together.”
