The most unique Sci-Fi love story of the year finally has a trailer

You often hear people say “You’ve never seen anything like this”, but in the case of the new movie Love meit is really true. Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun star as the human avatar versions of a buoy and a satellite who fall in love long after humanity ends. Can you even imagine what it is? It almost sounds fake, doesn’t it?

The film was first in the Sundance Film Festival last year and is finally getting a release later this month on January 31st. This means, all year, I had to try and explore this profound and original film to people with just the picture you see above. Now, finally, the film has a trailer that does a great job of showing its full ambitious goal.

“The new movie Love me takes place over 10 billion years and features only two non-human actors.” I wrote in my review of 2024. “It’s part nature film, part animation, part stage drama, and it’s incredibly ambitious and dense in both scope and theme. Written and directed by Sam and Andy Zuchero, it’s a film that tries to capture the whole aim for celestial existence in a tight 90-minute package, while also allowing a modern audience to experience it All the time? No. But more often than not, you can’t remove i your eyes, because you are always in awe of what you see, for many reasons.

So basically, it is the real life Wall-E, told in different mediums, with two incredible actors.

As I said in the review, Love me it doesn’t quite work, but it’s so unique, weird, sweet, and thoughtful, it’s hard not to fall in love. Make checking out part of your 2025 plans. It hits theaters exclusively on January 31st.
